Han Kengai style tree

This is a unique handmade item with 540 m of aluminium wire and is based on a Han Kengai style tree. The canopy of leaves has approximately 17,300 loops. Each strand of wire runs from the roots through to the leaves and has no glue, solder or any other means of securing them. The sculpture is self-supporting through the twisting method used which hosts the sculpture securely together. The tree is mounted on a solid Sapele wood base and is approx 70cm tall.
