Alison Jones
Alison Jones came to ceramics through drawing, and that lineage remains visible in everything she makes. Her hand-built forms - vases, garden pots, figurative work, and three-dimensional pieces inspired by Venice and Cornwall - carry the fluency of someone who begins with lines and lets the clay follow.
A full member of the Oxfordshire Craft Guild and the West Ox Arts, Jones balances her own practice with teaching across schools, art centers, and residencies throughout the country. There is a generosity in that - a belief that making things by hand is worth passing on.
