Darren Rumley

Darren Rumley works in concrete - but not the concrete of infrastructure and utility. His material is polished, refined, and combined with resin and natural wood to produce objects of considered beauty: lamps, tables, water features, and large-scale architectural installations for spaces that demand something singular.

Born and raised in the Cotswolds, he now works from a workshop in Stroud. Large pieces can be found in Mermaid Quay in Cardiff and Silverburn in Glasgow. Smaller works bring the same rigor to domestic interiors. In Rumley's hands, an overlooked industrial material becomes something worth looking at twice.
