Emma Haines
Emma Haines works from a studio in Ilfracombe, on the North Devon coast - a landscape that as always drawn artists for its particular quality of light and its unhurried relationship with the wild. Her paintings of British wildlife share something of that quality: expressively rendered in oil and acrylic, they are neither sentimental nor decorative, but alive.
Stags, owls, horses, badgers - the subjects are familiar, but the treatment is distinctly her own. Her work has been recognised through multiple awards and is represented by galleries across Britain. It sits comfortably in A&G's world: rooted in place, shaped by attention, and made to last.
