Danni Bradford
There are crafts, and then there are crafts at the edge of extinction. Danni Bradford works in verre-eglomise- the ancient art of reverse glass gilding- practised today by a vanishingly small number of artists worldwide. From her studio on the North Devon coast, within sight of Exmoor, she builds luminous, layered works from the inside out: inks, pigments, mica dust, and fine metal leaf applied to the back of toughened glass, building depth that seems to glow from within.
Her pieces are held in private collections across four continents. The technique, however, remains entirely her own.
